Terms of Service
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Welcome to Fermi Daily. By using this website ("the Service"), you agree to the terms below.
What Fermi Daily is
Fermi Daily is a free daily puzzle for practicing Fermi estimation — the skill of reasoning through uncertainty to arrive at a rough numerical answer. It's provided for educational and entertainment purposes.
Estimates are not verified facts
The "Our Estimate" figure shown for each problem is itself an approximation, derived from simplified assumptions written for this game — it is not a fact-checked, cited, or authoritative answer. Don't rely on any number shown in this app for real-world decisions, research, academic work, or any purpose that requires accuracy. We make no warranty as to the correctness of any figure presented.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — for example, by attempting to disrupt it, scraping it at abusive volume, or using it in a way that violates applicable law.
Accounts and data persistence
No account is required to play. Optional sign-in may be available for certain features, and if you create an account you're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. Account creation is not intended for children under 13. Your game progress is stored only in your own browser. We don't guarantee the Service will be available at all times, and we can't recover your locally stored progress if it's lost — for instance, if you clear your browser's site data.
Intellectual property
The Fermi Daily name, design, and problem content are owned by the creator of Fermi Daily. You may not reproduce or redistribute the Service's content for commercial purposes without permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creator of Fermi Daily is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot legally be waived. If any provision here conflicts with such a right, that right prevails.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. This does not override mandatory consumer protection rules of the country or state where you live, and it does not deprive you of the right to bring a claim before the courts of your home jurisdiction where applicable law gives you that right.
